Kapuso TV, Kasafi inked deal for Ati-Atihan fest

GMA Regional TV (GMA RTV) and Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Foundation, Inc. (Kasafi) inked a partnership agreement for the Ati-Atihan festival next year.

Kasafi chairman Albert Menez said, “the Ati-Atihan volunteers are in high spirits by the partnership deal of broadcast station GMA-7 and Kasafi in collaboration with the municipal government of Kalibo...it brings new dimension to the celebration of Ati-Atihan festivities.”

The Ati-Atihan religious and tourism events will be celebrated on January 6 to 15 in reverence to Senor Sto. Nino.

The partnership signing was formalized on December 21 which was also attended by Kasafi vice president for internal affairs Lilibeth Goboy and vice president for external affairs Jemina Trinidad.

The Kapuso Network represented by GMA Iloilo/Bacolod station manager Jonathan Cabillon also lauded the renewed trust of Ati-Atihan festival organizer.

Cabillon said, “the Kapuso Network will also promote the best of the Mother of All Philippine Festivals, providing star power for the Kapuso Fiesta and Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan pageant.”

Sunday Pinasaya mainstay Julie Anne San Jose and Gawad Urian Best supporting actor and model Martin del Rosario will banner the Kapuso Fiesta at Kalibo Pastrana Park on January 10.

San Jose and Del Rosario led the cast of GMA Afternoon prime “Pinulot ka lang sa Lupa” which is set to premiere on January 9, 2017.

On January 6, GMA Artist Center star James Wright will serenade the candidates of Mutya it Kalibo Ati-Atihan during the grand finale and coronation night at ABL Sports and Cultural Center in Kalibo, Aklan.


The Fil-Australian singer, who first appeared on the GMA reality show Anak Ko Yan, sang the theme song for Carmela teleserye  titled “Sana’y Ikaw”.
