ISLA NG BORACAY--Hindi parin mapalagay ang mga kamag-anak ni Karen "Karen" Valera mahigit isang buwan na nang natagpuang patay at palutang-lutang sa baybayin ng islang ito noong Abril 25 matapos mapag-alaman sa atupsiya na may nangyaring foul-play dito."Initial communication to us by her closest friends who were w/ her on the trip, was that she drowned. Contrary to the autopsy report, there was no water found in the lungs and on the throat/ larynx. She was not bloated upon retrieval of her body from the waters of Boracay," pahayag ng isa sa mga kapatid nito sa isang facebook page post.
"According to the report, which states that, the cause of death was blunt traumatic injuries. Injuries on the forehead, that caused a hematoma to the right side of my sister's brain. She had bruises on her chest, lower back and both arms. Her knees were extremely bruised and beaten 'lapnos ang tuhod'. Clearly she did not drown. She was beaten and murdered."
Matatandaan na base sa report ng Boracay PNP station na nagkaroon umano sila ng pagtatalo ng kasintahan nitong babae habang nagbabakasyon sa Isla ng Boracay bago siya natagpuang patay.
Umaasa ngayon ang mga kamag-anak sa California USA at Nueva Vescaya na sa tulong ng mga awtoridad at media ay mapanagot ang suspek sa nangyari.
